Zaporizhzhia State Medical University is a government medical university located in South-East Ukraine. Having been established in 1903, the university is more than 115 years old. The name of the state where the university is located in Zaporizhzhia. It has a population of about 7.3 lakh people. It has more than 1,200 Indian students who are studying MBBS here. The majority of the students are from South India. It has more than 12,000 students overall and has an academic staff of over 750. The degree awarded by Zaporizhzhia State Medical University is called MD Physician which is equivalent to MBBS in India. Eligibility Criteria

For admission to Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, a student with an Indian passport must fulfill the following criteria –

  • 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. You must clear all the subjects.
  • The student must be 17 years old on or before 31st December in the year in which he/she seeks admission.
  • Qualifying NEET is mandatory. NEET result is valid for a period of 3 years for MBBS abroad.

Opportunities after studying MBBS in Ukraine

After getting your MD Physician degree (equivalent to MBBS in India) from Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, you have many options including –
