Andijan State Medical Institute MBBS course duration

The MBBS course at Andijan State Medical Institute lasts 6 years, divided into 2 parts:

  • 5 years of study followed by
  • one year of internship to be done at the hospitals of ASMI

As per the new rules, the minimum course duration has to be 54 months (4.5 years) followed by an internship of 1 year in the same country. Once the student returns to India and clears FMGE/NExT (whichever is applicable at the time), they are supposed to undergo an internship of 1 year in India as well.
