Ningbo University is situated in Jiangbei District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. The university has been given the status of a Double First-Class Discipline University. It has Double First-Class status in certain disciplines. In comparison to most other universities in China, it is relatively young and was established in 1986. It has more than 25,000 students and 2,800 academic faculty. It is one of the 45 universities approved by the Ministry of Education of China for admitting international students in fully English medium course. It is among the top universities for studying MBBS in China. There are 24 colleges under Ningbo University. The MBBS program has been approved by the Ministry of Education of China to recruit international students since 2011.
Between 2015-18, 356 Indian graduates of this university appeared for FMGE. Out of these 356, a total of 66 students managed to clear the screening test. Therefore the MCI Screening Test passing percentage was over 18%. This makes this university among the top-10 in China.

MBBS Course Duration
The total duration of studying MBBS in China is 6 years. The same is mentioned in the admission letters, you will see that the duration mentioned is of 6 years. This duration is a 5 +1 year system wherein the last year is the internship.
The first 5 year is in-class training whereas the last year is clinical training or internship.

As per the website 4icu.org, Ningbo University ranking is 2,263 and the country rank is 265 as on 30 May 2020.

There are a total of 45 universities which offer admission to Indian students for MBBS in China in full English-medium. Most agents mention that MBBS in China is the best and that there are universities with 80-90% passing ratio in the MCI Screening Test. However, it is a lie and is not the reality. The National Board of Examination or NBE is the body which conducts the FMGE exam. NBE has released college wise FMGE passing data from every country including China. While the universities in China have excellent infrastructure and high rankings, their FMGE passing percentage is less than 15% or NA for as many as 33 of the 45 universities.
