MBBS in Kazakhstan Without NEET

Indian students must qualify NEET in the current or the previous 2 years for MBBS admission abroad, as the NEET result is valid for 3 years. This is for admission to every country abroad. For MBBS in India, the NEET result is valid for 1 year only.

If you take admission abroad without qualifying NEET, you will not be allowed to appear for FMGE/NEXT, and therefore, you cannot practice in India in the future.

However, if a student does not wish to practice in India after studying in Kazakhstan, they can go for MBBS in Kazakhstan without NEET.

MBBS students in Kazakhstan must complete a 6-year course, which includes a 1-year internship at the same university. After this, you will have to clear Kazakhstan’s licensing exam, which will take another few months. After getting the license to practice/register in Kazakhstan, you will return to India.

Here, you will have to pass NEXT. If you pass the screening exam, you’ll be required to do an internship in India for a period of one year.

Medium of Instruction for MBBS Students in Kazakhstan

  • Each and every lesson will be delivered in English.
  • The local language will also be taught.
  • In order to take the language course, the university will arrange classes from the 1st semester itself and there will be no additional fees. In Kazakhstan, there are no scholarships available. As a result, you must prepare ahead of time.

You are not obligated to pay the complete amount of tuition in one go. Annual or semester-by-semester payments are available for tuition fees. An annual/semi-annual charge for the hostel and a monthly cost for the mess may be paid. As a result, you’ll be able to make your tuition payments on a schedule that works for you.

Do not select a university without checking these!

  • Indian students and parents must read NMC’s FMGL Regulations. They must satisfy themselves that the university they are applying to fulfils these regulations. If not, you will not be eligible to appear for the licensing exam in India.
  • You must take the help of experts such as the Global Medical Foundation for guidance and admission assistance. Shobhit Jayaswal of GMF has visited many medical universities in Kazakhstan and other countries. We have guided 1,000+ students to study MBBS abroad including to Kazakhstan. Contact Global Medical Foundation – 9899065852.
  • Check the university’s age and the commencement date of the MBBS course. Avoid medical universities that have just begun offering an MBBS course.
  • Do you know how many Indian students have graduated from a certain university? It is preferable to attend a university that has previously taught Indian students.
  • Check the passing rate for the FMGE exam. A larger proportion of students passing the FMGE should be favoured when choosing a university.
  • World Ranking should not be used as a criterion for selecting a university. It’s often deceptive.
  • See whether the pricing structure is within your means. If you can find a better choice for the same price, consider your other possibilities.
  • Check the average monthly temperature of the city where you plan to live for the next 6 years.

However, it is important to be aware of the potential disadvantages before making a decision about an international medical university. There are many disadvantages of studying MBBS in Kazakhstan, and the Global Medical Foundation is not afraid to point them out. If you’d want to learn more about the disadvantages of studying MBBS in Kazakhstan, go here.

→ Weather: The weather in Kazakhstan won’t suit everyone. About three months of the year, the temperature will dip below 0 degrees. From December to February, there will be snowfall in many cities. However, since all the buildings are centrally heated, you will not feel cold inside. The room temperature is maintained at around 25 degrees.

→ Low FMGE passing percentage: The FMGE passing ratio of many universities is poor and in many, the FMGE passing ratio is average.

→ The MBBS Course Has Just Begun at Several Universities: Even though they could be very old institutions, many universities have started teaching MBBS recently. It is always best to seek admission to universities that have experienced faculty.

→ Better Choices Are Available for the Same Price: In Kazakhstan, the overall budget of many universities is medium to high. This is comparable to the cost of an MBBS degree in many other countries. Therefore, students can find other options within a similar budget.

→ You have to learn a new language: Apart from your medical studies, you are required to learn the local language, which will be needed during the internship and also will be needed for day-to-day interaction with the locals.

→ Need to pass the licensing exam: You have to pass the licensing exam in Kazakhstan, as it is required per NMC rules. The same is the case in Russia, but if you get admitted to any Timor-Leste medical university, there is no need to sit for a licensing exam, as you will get a direct license in Timor-Leste.

MBBS in Kazakhstan Fee Structure for Indian students

The medical universities in Kazakhstan have varying tuition fees. MBBS fees in Kazakhstan, in Rupees, range from ₹3.65 lakh to ₹6.20 lakh per year. This means that the tuition fee for 6 years varies from ₹22 lakh to ₹37 lakh. There are other expenses, too, of course.

Apart from the tuition fee, the student has to pay for their hostel/accommodation, Indian mess/food, medical insurance, visa extension, one-time admission expenses, flight tickets, admission charges, and more. Therefore, the student and their parents must be aware of all the mandatory fees.

This is where parents/students require the assistance of an experienced and honest consultancy like Global Medical Foundation.
