Eligibility Criteria

Volgograd State Medical University eligibility criteria for Indian students-

Entrance Exam in India There are no entrance examinations in India like IELTS/SAT, etc. NEET qualification is a must for Indian students.
Age The student must be at least 17 years old as on 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
Board The candidate must have completed class 12th from a regular and recognised board.
Marks for General Category students The student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject.
Marks for Other Category students The candidate must have an aggregate of at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject.
NEET You need to qualify NEET exam for admission in any of the MCI approved medical universities of Russia. NEET result is valid for 3 years for MBBS abroad from 2018 onwards.
Passport The student must hold a valid passport.

Volgograd State Medical University Russia Admission Process

The academic year is divided into 2 semesters-

  • The first semester starts on 1st September and ends in late January followed by 2 weeks of vacations
  • The second semester starts in mid-February and ends in late June followed by 2 months of holidays – July and August.

The admission is based on merit only. Students should have proper documentation with them and then contact us for admission. The documents which are required for admission are –

Hostel Facility at Volgograd State Medical University

According to their official website, the Volgograd State Medical University has 3 hostels and apartments for international and local students. The hostels are separated for boys and girls and the hostel for International students is slightly different from local ones.

The hostel is 24 hours guarded and the students get a bed, a study table and a chair and bathroom facility. The students get hot water throughout the day along with access to the gym, recreation area and food in the mess.

2 or 3 students maximum can share the room and the hostel rooms are fully ventilated, furnished and heated. The bathrooms are separated for the students and internet facility is provided on every floor. Staying in a hostel can come with some difficulties like shared bathrooms and minimum to zero privacy.

If by any chance, the hostels are fully booked for new students, there is also a facility run by administrative staff where a student can rent an apartment with the same cost. They see to it that no student gets left out and everybody gets proper accommodations. The library is quite big with more than 7,00,000 books.

Cost of Living in Volgograd City

Volgograd is not an expensive state, it is quite historical and full of culture. The cost of living can be about INR 50K-70K per month. It is inclusive of rent, food, groceries and transportation.
